Nagarajan Foundation, a small non-profit organization dedicated to touching lives through education. We are driven by the belief that education is the key to empowering individuals and communities. We are committed to help few needy students within our capacity, especially for those facing socio-economic barriers.

In memory of my father

Nagarajan R

Mr. Nagarajan was a beloved husband, father and a brother. He was born into a small weaver family with three brothers and a sister. He spent all his childhood/adulthood in the small town Thuraiyur from Trichy District in Tamil Nadu, India.

Losing his father to cancer very early in his childhood, he couldn't afford much education for himself. He started working as a photo studio assistant (Central Studio - quite renowned back in 1990s) and eventually set up his own - Sri Raja Studio along Trichy Road, opposite to Saalai Mariamman temple. During his early adulthood, he supported his siblings as much as he could and always offered a helping hand!

Accumulating decent wealth to build a small home for his family of 4, he lived a humble but happy life and spent quality time with his family for few years. Then, disaster struck as he was diagnosed with cancer. Despite numerous surgeries and excruciating pain, he continued to run his business for few years before he lost the battle to cancer on 15 March 2004.

For him, family came first and he never hesitated to share what he had. He has done lot of deeds with big brave heart that I couldn't have ever. People who are from his family and were his acquaintance will remember him for his pleasant, uplifting character and charming smile.

I always look up to him and try to follow his foot steps - I know those are big shoes to fill.

Dad, you will always be remembered and I wish, we had few more years with you as you were too young to be gone. Always in our hearts!!!
